What's Flex?

Flex is the University’s flexible spending (debit) account that is automatically applied to your Pioneer ID Card. Unlike meal plan cash, Flex uses actual currency that you deposit using a banking account, giving you full control over where, and how much of your money is spent. It provides security and convenience by allowing you to make cash-free purchases both on and off campus for a wide variety of products and services.

• Your funds are safely stored in the University’s central database, and your balance is protected as long as you promptly report and deactivate a lost or stolen ID card.

Flex funds roll over from quarter to quarter and year to year. You will retain access to your funds as long as you remain an actively enrolled student or current employee. Before your departure from the University, ensure that you submit a Flex Refund so that any remaining funds are returned to you.��

Depositing to Flex

Every student, staff, and faculty member automatically has a Flex account—just make a deposit to start using it!
You can add funds online with a credit card through , or in person at the ID Office with cash or check.

Deposits are available immediately, and the minimum deposit is $1.00.��

• Flex Deposit Steps
  1. Log on to the�� with your �Թϴ�Ӫ email and My4D password.
  2. Complete the registration page if you have not already done so. Please note, the “First Name” section must be filled in with your LEGAL first name. Registration must be done only once, when using the portal for the first time.
  3. On the home page, under the “Flex” section, select “+Add Money.”
  4. On the “Make Account Deposit” page, select when you want the deposit to occur and go to the next page.
  5. Select “Flex” as the account in which you want to make a deposit.
  6. Select your deposit type and enter the desired deposit amount.��
  7. Select “Credit Card” as your payment type or “Saved Payment Method” if you have already saved a card to your account. Go to the next page.
  8. If you are paying with a new credit card, you can enter in your credit card information. If you selected to pay with a “Saved Payment Method,” you will now be at the deposit confirmation page. Your deposit is NOT YET complete.
  9. Select “Make Deposit” in the lower right-hand corner to complete your transaction.
  10. On the next page, you can enter in your email to obtain a receipt. You may also choose to save your credit card as a method of payment on this page. Please note, you MUST have a saved payment method in order to deposit via the mobile app.
  11. Your Flex deposit is now complete!

• eAccounts

  What's eAccounts?��

  eAccounts is an account portal available to �Թϴ�Ӫ community members that can be used to manage, view, or deposit any funds you have on your accounts. Transaction history is also available!

  These accounts include:��

  • Meal Plan/Meal Plan Cash Balances
  • Flex Account Balances
  • Bookstore Account Balances
  • Other Stored Value Account Balances

  Your eAccounts page can be found by searching "eAccounts/Flex Account" in the My4D Portal or search browser. You can also download the "Transact eAccounts' App.��

Flex Refunds

You cannot withdraw cash directly from your Flex account, but you may request a refund through the ID Office by submitting a Flex Refund Request Form. A Flex Refund Request Form is available online or in person at the office. Refunds are initiated by our office and facilitated by the Office of Student Billing.��

Please note that if you have an outstanding tuition balance, approved Flex refunds will automatically be applied to that balance. If not, the refund will either be issued as a direct deposit or as a check that will be mailed to you. You can download a�� or pick one up in the ID Office.

Completed forms can be submitted by email to pcard@du.edu, handed in at the office, or mailed to �Թϴ�Ӫ ID Card Office, 2050 East Evans Ave, Suite 4, Denver CO 80210. We can no longer accept Faxed Flex Refund Request Forms.

Refunds can only be made if there are existing funds on your account.��

Locations Accepting Flex

Flex is accepted at all on-campus eateries and select eateries off-campus at��these locations.��

If you know a merchant that would be a good candidate to take Flex, please have the merchant contact the Pioneer ID Card Office at 303-871-4545 or pcard@du.edu.
