Operational Transformation

Operational Transformation is one of the major initiatives advancing ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª Forward in 2026 and beyond.

Academic Transformation, another core initiative within ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª Forward, engaged hundreds of faculty, staff, and students in 2025–26 to reimagine ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª's academic structures, offerings, and outcomes. The resulting changes will continue to roll out over the next several years, positioning ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª for a strong future.

Operational Transformation builds on Academic Transformation by aligning how the university operates with ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª's revised academic vision. This includes processes, technology, data, people, and facilities, as well as the emerging technologies that are reshaping higher education and the current and future workforce.

Operational Transformation Goals

The first goal of Operational Transformation is straightforward: to ease the workload on ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª's staff and faculty, many of whom have been asked to take on more over the past few years. This work will focus on simplifying business processes, revisiting policies that govern these processes, and ensuring people are trained to use it well.

By aligning people, processes, and technology around shared institutional goals, operational transformation creates a more agile and responsive university. It allows faculty and staff to focus more of their time on high-value activities that directly serve students and advance academic excellence. The result is a stronger institution that can adapt to changing needs, enhance the student and employee experience, steward resources responsibly, and sustain long-term success in an increasingly dynamic higher education environment.
