Honoring Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Dear ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª community,  ÌýÌý ÌýÌý On January 20, our nation will commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª recognizes Dr. King with a holiday that allows our community time to reflect. We ask members of the University community to reflect in their own way on the lessons we’ve learned from Dr. King and how his example might guide us through the challenges we face as a society today.ÌýÌýÌý The examples set by Dr. King in his efforts as a strategist, theologian and leader are ones in which generations across the globe have marveled. Beyond admiring his accomplishments, we each have opportunities, every day, to make a better world in our spheres of influence. Here at ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª, where we value the public good and strive to help individuals thrive by exploring all aspects of their humanity, we are in prime positions to carry Dr. King’s legacy forward as thoughtful individuals in this ever-changing world.Ìý Please join us on January 16 as . This lecture is open to all members of the ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª campus community and the broader community. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Amy Pickens, is a distinguished servant leader and the visionary founder and CEO of Aligned Purpose Coaching & Consulting, LLC.
