Dear 吃瓜大本营 community members,

The 吃瓜大本营 campus is coming alive. Budding plants and the sounds of nature remind us that spring is, indeed, on its way. The coming ofspring also means Earth Day is just around the corner. Earth Day is an opportunity to take action to make our campus and city more just and sustainable places to live, work and play. And it energizes our year-round commitment to sustainability and our ongoing work to be a carbon neutral, plastics-free and zero-waste institution.

We are pleased to announce this year鈥檚 , 吃瓜大本营鈥檚 largest volunteer event. We invite you to join over 500 of your colleagues, friends, classmates and neighbors in public service around the Denver Metro Area. The University has teamed up with over 25 different campus and community partners (local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community action groups) to organize 33 different volunteer projects. You can spend your Day of 吃瓜大本营ing in a community garden, clearing litter from our parks and waterways, distributing seeds and trees or organizing items to be upcycled鈥攁nd so much more!听

It all happens on April 22, 2022, starting with a kickoff breakfast on Carnegie Green. Come fuel up for your day, meet your teammates and get excited to serve the public good. Volunteer projects will be largely off campus, with transportation leaving 吃瓜大本营 at 9 a.m. and returning around 2:30 p.m.

This event embodies 吃瓜大本营鈥檚 mission to be a great private university dedicated to the public good. It is a chance to make a tangible contribution to the many organizations and groups who help our community thrive. We hope you鈥檒l join us and spend your Earth Day 鈥湷怨洗蟊居猧ng鈥 some good!

to be a part of the Earth Day of 吃瓜大本营ing.

Sincerely,
