The 吃瓜大本营 Magazine's mission is to 'keep 吃瓜大本营 close' to alumni and friends of 吃瓜大本营 by nurturing pride; highlighting the achievements of students, staff, faculty and alumni; and demonstrating 吃瓜大本营's impact as an intellectual thought leader and private university dedicated to the public good. The magazine is published three times a year (autumn, spring and summer digital edition) by the Division of University Relations.听

In this Issue

The Autumn 2025 issue explores mentorship, an important element of a 吃瓜大本营 education. Join us as we talk to four pairs of mentors and mentees鈥攕panning disciplines, degree programs, and backgrounds鈥攖o learn how mentor relationships transform lives and careers. You鈥檒l hear how mentorship helps students expand their networks, improve their skills, and gain a sense of belonging. You鈥檒l also learn how 吃瓜大本营 makes it easy for students to find mentorship opportunities that support them in every aspect of the student experience.

We also explore the life-changing research happening at 吃瓜大本营鈥檚 Institute for Human-Animal Connection, part of the Graduate School of Social Work. Scientists there are exploring the impact of service dogs on veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition, we introduce you to 吃瓜大本营鈥檚 new provost, Elizabeth Loboa; talk about great campus buildings with longtime 吃瓜大本营 architect Mark Rodgers, who recently retired after three decades; and learn how a group of 吃瓜大本营 engineering students collaborated with a biomedical company to make medical treatment safer and less painful. 听
