The Brandenburg Project: six concertos\, three commissions\, two schools\, period instruments.
Students\, faculty\, and community members at Colorado College and the ³Ô¹Ï´ó±¾Óª join forces to present The Brandenburg Project. This groundbreaking collaboration explores the resonance of J.S. Bach&rsquo\;s compositions and instruments in the contemporary world\, juxtaposing them with newly commissioned works for period instruments. After a year of intense study of early instruments\, techniques\, and practices\, students bring their own experience and artistry to J.S. Bach&rsquo\;s Brandenburg Concertos. Join us for a joyful celebration of music\, old and new. Both performances are free and open to the public.
The concerts feature all six J.S. Bach Brandenburg Concertos\, a sonata movement by Wilhelmine of Bayreuth\, and three world premieres by Carlos Bandera\, Seare Farhat\, and Manar Hashmi.
