The Brandenburg Project: six concertos, three commissions, two schools, period instruments.

Students, faculty, and community members at Colorado College and the 吃瓜大本营 join forces to present The Brandenburg Project. This groundbreaking collaboration explores the resonance of J.S. Bach鈥檚 compositions and instruments in the contemporary world, juxtaposing them with newly commissioned works for period instruments. After a year of intense study of early instruments, techniques, and practices, students bring their own experience and artistry to J.S. Bach鈥檚 Brandenburg Concertos. Join us for a joyful celebration of music, old and new. Both performances are free and open to the public.

The concerts feature all six J.S. Bach Brandenburg Concertos, a sonata movement by Wilhelmine of Bayreuth, and three world premieres by Carlos Bandera, Seare Farhat, and Manar Hashmi.
